My most recent trip home was something of a food-filled affair and what better way to catch up with the girls than at Northern Ireland’s one and only, (for now), licensed Patisserie? Can there be a better combination than cocktails and dessert?
We headed to the Lisburn Road’s newly opened Miel et Moi on Friday night and it was bustling. You can’t book – for dessert, at least- but we didn’t have to wait long before a table came free. We had a lovely evening catching up on what everyone’s been up to from wedding planning to job changes while deliberating over which patisserie to pair with our cocktails.
The decor is opulent yet inviting – think a Parisian lounge with plush furnishings and low lighting. Service was excellent and we were helped along by a lovely waitress who made choosing a dessert even more difficult – everything looked and sounded delicious and it was! I recommend the Blueberry eclair: packed with every variation of the delectable superfood from a fruity filling to the dried blueberry topped icing. I’m pretty sure it counted as at least one of my five a day…;)
If you’re in Belfast for the weekend or are a local on the lookout for an alternative night out this is a fantastic spot. There are plenty of nightspots in the vicinity if you feel the need to burn off the calories with a post-pud bop.
Until next time, bon appétit!xx
All of the desserts look delicious! I’m glad you had such a lovely time with your friends!!

Thanks Danielle. I didn’t try them all, (my waistline is grateful for this) but if my eclair was anything to go by they must all be delicious!x
