Spring favourites

iPhotoApril seemed to run into May when I wasn’t looking and now we’re nearing the end of June I thought I might do a bumper edition of my favourites for Spring.

When I was home in April I took advantage of a tremendous Groupon deal and treated myself to a QFT Film Card.  Those in the know have been keeping mum about Belfast’s best independent cinema which boasts cutting-edge film 7 nights a week.  (I promise they didn’t pay me to say that.)  The offer was something crazy like £10 for a year’s membership which affords members discounts on cinema tickets and free refills on tea and coffee.  Plus when you join you get 2 free tickets to enjoy at whatever film you fancy, with the exception of live broadcasts – more on that later.

My Day in Pictures: A visit to Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair

On Sunday work – and a natural curiosity – took me back to East London for Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair. Ever since I moved away from the area I’ve been drawn back on many a weekend to explore the place I used to call home.

For the princely sum of £2, (or £3 for early birds who can enter the fair 30minutes before the masses descend), you can access a huge selection of vintage clothes spanning every decade from around the 1940s to the 1980s.
