One of my favourite places to visit when I’m home is St. George’s Market. A stone’s throw from Belfast Central station, it’s a great place to wile away the hours. Open Friday – Sunday you can start your day with breakfast from one of the many stalls – a good idea if you’ve been sampling the local pubs and clubs the night before. And it’s not just local food you’ll find there – if you’ve a hankering for paella, for example, they’ve got you covered.

My Day In Pictures: Stunning Stormont
Stormont, or the ‘House on the Hill’ as it’s also known in Northern Ireland, is home to our sometimes turbulent NI Assembly – the closest equivalent is Parliament. Situated on the outskirts of Belfast, in the grounds of Stormont Estate, its position at the top of the hill affords it some stunning views of the city.
The grounds of the Estate are free to visit and open all year round. A popular spot with runners, walkers and wet noses, it’s a great place to practise some nature photography.
Northern Ireland Travel Vlog
Hello and a very happy New Year to you all! I hope the heads aren’t too fuzzy today and that the celebrations were befitting of the great year that lies ahead!
I don’t know about you but I’m not quite ready to wave cheerio to 2015 just yet; at least not without looking back at a few of my favourite moments of the year first.
July Favourites
It’s that time again folks! July was a whistle-stop tour of all things food and friendship as I flew home not once but twice to see my loved ones.
I also had visitors and really enjoyed playing tour guide to my mum and my pal Jenny who popped down for the amazing Bette Midler concert. So without further ado here were my best bits from July:
Happy Birthday Mama T!
Like a Local: Take me to Harlem…
…and I’ll always love you.
So sang Aretha and who am I to argue with the Queen of Soul? Last month I surprised my mama with a birthday trip to one of our favourite restaurants and we celebrated her 27th birthday, (again 😉 ), with the help of her gal pals.
