Hi Hi friends!
If you’re a regular here you’ll know by now that my love for Mount Stewart runs deep. If you’re not yet familiar with this incredible place, Mount Stewart is a National Trust stately home with expertly manicured sprawling gardens that are bursting with native species plants and shrubs. Located along the wiggly windy road out of Newtownards to Portaferry it’s tucked away behind the bend just past Newtownards Sailing Club. I love it there. No matter how many times I have been I always learn something new with each visit.
A recent trip home coincided with the reopening of the house after a period of renovation so naturally I had to take a trip down the road to check it out. I got somewhat carried away on the photography front but there was so much to take in and I wanted to capture as much of it as I could. Believe it or not, this is the whittled down selection! I brought my Canon 650D along with me and was really inspired by the volume of things to see in each of the rooms. Every item on display is significant and more often than not, binds the Stewart family tightly to the local area.
If you are in the area Mount Stewart’s famous Jazz Sundays have just started up again and I can certify it’s a great way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. You can find out more about Jazz Sundays here.
See you next time!xx
This all looks lovely! I would love to explore this one day! I really like the colorful garden and the floral sitting chair!
