My Perfect Sunday

Last weekend I fulfilled a lifetime’s ambition to share the same breathing space as the one, the only, Bette Midler.  Granted she was on the stage at the O2 and I was about 5 rows away from the venue’s ceiling but I’m totally counting that.  She was absolutely incredible with razor sharp comic timing and perfect pitch myself, mama and my best friend Jenny had a blast singing along to all her hits.

5 ways to make the most of your mornings in London

A couple of Fridays ago I rose to the chipper tweeting of the birds and made my way to Old Street Underground Station at stupid o’clock to take part in my first ever early morning rave.  That’s not a typo. My friend Sophie had signed up for the event after spying it in Time Out magazine and I was delighted, if a little bleary eyed, to go along too.  The event was hosted by Lipton Ice Tea as part of their Be A Daybreaker campaign to get people to try something a little different to kickstart their days.

My Day In Pictures: Magnificent Mount Stewart

If you’re a regular here you’ll know by now that my love for Mount Stewart runs deep.  If you’re not yet familiar with this incredible place, Mount Stewart is a National Trust stately home with expertly manicured sprawling gardens that are bursting with native species plants and shrubs.  Located along the wiggly windy road out of Newtownards to Portaferry it’s tucked away behind the bend just past Newtownards Sailing Club.  I love it there.  No matter how many times I have been I always learn something new with each visit.
